Pretty Pettys Poem for Kids

Hey kids, this issue is just for you! We’re Amanda and Eric, and we’re poets. This is a part of our poetry business. We would like to share with you our silly, fun poems. With these poems, we’re going to TRY to teach you.

This is an Unlikely Friendship poem. Enjoy.

Dumbo and Bugs Bunny
By-Amanda D. Petty

Two totally different friends:
One flies, eats peanuts, and weighs a semi-truck.
One hops, eats carrots, and picks on Daffy Duck.

I looked outside of my bedroom window.
I had to take a second look because I saw Bugs riding Dumbo.
They stopped for a drink.

I asked them, “How? You are created by different productions?”
Bugs replied while his friend’s trunk was in the water,
“Ah, the producers grew up together.”

“Plus, he” Bugs patted Dumbo’s back, “can fly and I can’t.”
Dumbo smiled and his trunk drowned us.
We laughed until we cried.

After we had our bath,
Bugs and Dumbo flew away.
I thought to myself with a grin,

“They are perfect for each other!”

We want to thank you for reading this.
