Pretty Pettys Poem for Kids

Hey kids, this issue is just for you. Ben will take over this issue. This is a part of our poetry business. With these poems, we’re going to TRY to teach you English.

This is a Freestyle. Enjoy.

Bread with Butter
By:- Kofi Fianko

Bread butter best.
Always on my breakfast
table for my hot tea.
Momma bake it all the time
in our new oven
whiles daddy gets the butter
from the little shop behind
our cottage.
Auntie Peggy keeps her butter
fresh but it costs more money
than momma would love to pay
for.
On a day that Daddy goes on
a trip for weeks,
I eat my bread with no butter.
Momma wouldn't spend extra
money to get me butter.
She doesn't want to pay that
much money as Auntie Peggy
would demand.
This I hate; I cry and wish
Daddy always stays at Home
without travels.
He will not fail to get me
butter for my bread.
I will one day grow up and become
a momma;
I will keep loads of butter in
refrigerator for myself and kids.
Oh! I love butter best with bread,
And I will forever do when I grow up.

We want to thank you for reading this.
